We will be celebrating BANG's 82nd anniversary in Jacksonville, FL, from Monday, October 13 through Thursday, October 16, 2025 with departure on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Jacksonville, FL, was named after Andrew Jackson, the seventh President of the United States.  Before the city’s founding, the area was known as Cowford, named for the natural ford (shallow crossing) on the St. Johns River where cattle were driven across.  When the area was incorporated as a city in 1832, it was renamed in honor of Andrew Jackson, who was a military leader during the First Seminole War and also served as the territorial governor of Florida.  Jacksonville officially became a city with the name in recognition of his contributions, and it has grown into the largest city in Florida by land area.

TRAVEL:  If traveling by air its the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX).  The hotel is 16 miles or 21 minutes from the airport. Taxi fare is approximately $35 and Uber approximately $20.   Our hotel is conveniently on the St John's River with spectacular views of downtown Jacksonville across the river.
